The idea of shared ownership is not new. Thousands of homes around the world have been fractionalized to accommodate the needs of a select group of vacation home owners.
The Tahoe Club House concept came to Del while searching for real estate in his other favorite place on earth – Hawaii. While searching for real estate, Del reviewed the cost associated with second home ownership and thought it would beneficial to buy and split it amongst his friends. It made sense to Del to buy what he would use, share the expense and spend a fraction of what it would cost him to buy the entire home.
Shared ownership is a perfect product for a destination resort area like Lake Tahoe. The area offers an array of recreation, beauty and amenities unlike any other resort in the country. Many believe that South Lake Tahoe has only seen the beginning of what it can be. No wonder big players like Marriott and Vail have “bought in” to such a fabulous area.

Del LaFountain
Del is a 28-year Lake Tahoe resident who moved here from Massachusetts. Del’s plan was to ski for the winter and return home, until he fell in love with all that Lake Tahoe has to offer and made Tahoe home.
Del started working in the construction industry when he arrived and eventually became a general foreman on large commercial construction projects. He was taken by the lure of buying and selling properties.
In 2000, Del became a California licensed General Contractor and embarked on making a living in the speculative home building market. Finally, following his love of real estate, he took the next step and is now one of South Lake Tahoe’s premier real estate agents.
Having gained comprehensive knowledge regarding buying and selling properties, Del is extremely versed on all city, county and TRPA regulations as well as preparing site assessments for future tear downs. Along with this knowledge comes connections in the industry that take years to develop. A well liked and well respected player in the industry, Del is one of those “Who’s Who” people in South Lake Tahoe – folks call Del to get answers!
Rene Brejc
Rene Brejc combines more than 20 years' sales and marketing experience with a lifetime in California and lifestyle of mountain living. Rene was raised in the Bay Area and spent winters skiing and summers hiking and camping in the Sierras.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chico State University, Rene spent a year studying at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, earning a graduate level diploma in Business Administration. Rene represented the United States and Rotary International as an Ambassador of Goodwill.
From there Rene spent 12 years in the resort community of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, building her resume in both technology-related industries and real estate. Rene returned 'home' to South Lake Tahoe in 2001 to pursue her passion for the mountain resort lifestyle that allows her to live her dream job as a Lake Tahoe real estate broker in "places where people play".
